Envision Attends Annual National Federation of the Blind Convention

Employees of Envision traveled to the 2024 National Federation of the Blind Convention held in Orlando, Florida. This annual convention is the largest gathering of people who are blind in the world and is the premier event for training, support, and information for the blind community. This year, many of our dedicated employees attended the convention, along with over 20 individuals who have benefited from Envision's programs and services. 

Among the attendees from Envision were Courtney Wages, Community Outreach Manager; Hannah Christenson, Director of Community Services; and Chelsee Bannon, Senior Human Resources Business Partner. They played a pivotal role during the Career Fair and Expo, where they manned a booth to discuss Envision’s diverse employment opportunities, innovative programs, and comprehensive services. 

Hannah Christenson, who frequently represents Envision at various events, shared her enthusiasm, stating: “What better way to share about our employment opportunities, programs, and services than to share them directly with people who might benefit from them? The annual National Federation of the Blind Convention provides an unparalleled opportunity to connect directly with nearly 3,000 individuals who are blind or visually impaired from around the world.” 

The convention was not just a platform for promoting employment opportunities but also a space for invaluable networking and community building. This direct interaction helps Envision to continually improve and tailor our services to meet the needs of the blind and visually impaired community.
