Day Support Services for Intellectual Disabilities and Blindness
People Reaching for Independence and the Development of Excellence (PRIDE) is designed for adults who are legally blind and have an intellectual developmental disability. Through PRIDE, we develop programs with specialized activities based on a person’s goals and abilities. We encourage building self-confidence and growing self-esteem.
The weekly curriculum at PRIDE incorporates a balance of instruction, recreational activity, social training, and work experience. Activities are personalized to meet the needs of each of our clients while allowing them to explore new areas that interest them.
PRIDE participants enjoy the time they spend being productive and accomplishing a goal, while gaining valuable work experience. Envision helps them be successful in their work, which provides an opportunity for participants to earn a paycheck through Envision Industries fulfillment services.
