Sculpting with Tomas and Jacinta Bustos
Join us in the big break room at Envision Dallas as Tomas Bustos and his wife Jacinta teach us how to craft sculptures. Join us for a fun and relaxing time to end the week!
Tomas Bustos lives in Dallas and has been a full-time artist for most of his life. He has produced several tactile art pieces, including the "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci and "Starry Night" by Vincent van Gogh. He put in the extra effort to receive permission from the copyright owner before re-creating the iconic "American Gothic" painting by Grant Wood.
Tomas and his wife Jacinta are thoughtful toward making sure that people with blindness can enjoy art as mich as anyone. A genuine fan of Envision's mission, Tomas and Jacinta previously brought tactile representations of famous art pieces with them and invited Envision employees with blindness to comprehend and appreciate them by touch during lunch. We're looking forward to their return!
