Dream Touch Believe shares the remarkable story of Michael Naranjo, an Indigenous sculptor who continued creating after losing his sight and the use of his right hand while serving in Vietnam. The screening will be followed by a live virtual Q&A with Michael and filmmaker Jenna Naranjo Winters.

Registration is required. Weekly Open Art Studio is an inclusive, self-guided creative experience for people of all ages who are blind, visually impaired, or have other disabilities, welcoming all levels of artistic experience.

Offered in morning, afternoon, and evening sessions, the studio provides a flexible environment to explore a wide range of art materials and techniques at your own pace. The space is designed to support independence, experimentation, and personal creative growth, with all tools and accommodations provided. No prior art experience is required.

Save the date, Wichita. The White Cane Day Walk is Saturday, October 3 at 9:00 AM at the Great Plains Nature Center in Wichita, Kansas. A free morning celebrating independence and community, and the independence the white cane represents for people who are blind or have low vision. Paved accessible route, doughnuts, and good company. All are welcome.
