Envision welcomes Mike May to new position

We are pleased to announce that Mike May has joined Envision as the executive director of the newly launched  William L. Hudson BVI Workforce Innovation Center. Mike brings a wealth of experience and innovation to his new role at Envision.

“I am excited and honored to be joining the Envision team and spearheading this unprecedented and greatly needed initiative,” May said. “Our goal is to become the thought leader and catalyst driving innovation, advocating for inclusion and creating upward mobility for people who are blind and visually impaired in the workforce.” 

Mike previously served as CEO of the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind and president and CEO of Sendero Group LLC. He began his career with the Central Intelligence Agency as a political analyst after receiving his Master’s of International Affairs from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Mike is an avid skier, holding the speed skiing record in downhill for a totally blind person at 65mph, and has won six international medals. In 2010, he was inducted into the U.S. Association of Blind Athletes Hall of Fame.
