Envision was one of three awardees singled out by the Sedgwick County Health Department to receive a National Public Health Thank You Day Award. Heather Hogan, Senior Vice President, Foundation and Mission Services, and Jennifer Brantley, Manager, Public Education, accepted the award during public recognitions at the November 8 Wichita City Council and November 14 Sedgwick County Commission meetings.
When presenting the award on behalf of the Sedgwick County Health Department, Becky Tuttle, healthICT Project Manager, praised Envision for its Public Education and Envision Vision Rehabilitation Center programs that provide vision education and awareness to both reduce risks of vision loss and help the typically sighted understand the challenges of those living with visual impairments.
Each year the Sedgwick County Health Department recognizes individuals and organizations that have shown leadership and/or innovative strategies in promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles to Sedgwick County, Kansas residents. We are so happy to receive this honor for our collaborative work and advocacy that has resulted in spreading important messages concerning vision across the City of Wichita.
