In his recent one-on-one interview hosted by PBS Kansas and Victor Hogstrom, Envision President and CEO, Michael Monteferrante, shared many untold details about himself. In the 30-minute interview, Victor and Michael discuss his past careers and what brought him to Envision in Wichita. He also talks about how his passion for working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired sparked the minute he walked in the doors of Envision.

Michael shares how his Italian family moved to Vancouver, where he was born, to Boise, Idaho, where he eventually attended Boise State University. Michael's career started in the transportation industry where he became an expert in locomotives and the subway system. He then came to Wichita to work with bus transportation. After being recruited to join the Envision board of directors he fell in love with the company after just after the first few minutes of a tour of the Water Street facility. When the opportunity arose for Michael to become President and CEO of Envision when he was living in Dallas, he and his wife made the decision to move back to Wichita, because he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his career at Envision.
