Envision Signs First Retail Customer for PetNV

March 22, 2015

Pet World, Inc., an independent Lawrence, Kan.-based store dealing in both live pets and pet products, has signed on as the first retailer to carry PetNV, Envision’s new line of reflective gear designed to keep pets and their human companions more visible and safe when they are outdoors. Pet World will carry the full array of PetNV pet collars and leashes and companion belts for humans at its store located at 711 W. 23rd Street in Lawrence.

PetNV collars, leashes and belts are available in six vibrant colors that reflect light up to 1,500 times brighter than white fabric. Each design employs the same material used in the military’s safety belts and vests to provide ultimate visibility for owners and their pets. Combining the highest quality durable prismatic material with high-strength webbing built to withstand even the strongest pulls, PetNV products are ideal for runners, hunters or casual walkers who want to ensure that they and their pets can be seen by all with whom they share their outdoor environment, rain or shine.

Sherry Emerson, owner of Pet World, said that in addition to finding a versatile product that a wide range of customers should find invaluable, she is delighted to be supporting a fellow Kansas company, especially since more than 75 percent of the employees involved in manufacturing PetNV products are blind and visually impaired.

Carrying the PetNV line is a natural fit for us, said Emerson. At Pet World, we pride ourselves on providing outstanding community service as a way to give back to those who support our business, and community service is what Envision is all about. We’re proud to be bringing these products to our customers, not only because they will serve an important safety function but also because they help support a better quality of life for those with vision loss.

We’re excited to have signed our first retail customer for PetNV, said Envision Senior Vice President of Strategic Development Michael Montana. We met Sherry during the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, and based on the reactions of the many other retailers and distributors from around the country whom we met there, we hope to bring PetNV to more markets in the near future and support not only pet safety but the mission of Envision.
