The Envision Low Vision Rehabilitation Center is a low vision rehabilitation clinic with one goal – helping our patients realize their best possible functional vision. We achieve this by combining a comprehensive low vision rehabilitation program with adaptive aids, training and resources.

We begin by conducting a comprehensive functional assessment. Our Center is unique in the region because we use a Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope to map blind spots in the retina. This powerful tool allows us to accurately assess vision loss in the center of the retina – the place most affected by macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal disorders.

Your doctor determines the nature and extent of your vision loss. Once your doctor orders services, our staff develops a vision rehabilitation program just for you. This might include new glasses, training, and use of vision aids, including lighting or optical devices. Another component of your vision rehabilitation program is training in activities of daily living. You can maintain your independence by learning how to safely and effectively cook, clean, manage personal finances and enjoy leisure activities such as reading and crafts.
