Envision CEO named to ACVREP board
Envision CEO and President Linda K. Merill-Parman has been elected to Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) Board of Directors.
Established in Nov. 1999, the Academy is a private, not-for-profit 501 (c) (6) organization based in Tucson, Ariz. As an independent and autonomous legal certification body governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, The Academy is dedicated to meeting the needs of the vision services field and providing high-quality professional certification in the disciplines of low vision therapy, orientation and mobility, and vision rehabilitation therapy. It does this by promoting professional competency, enhancing the provision of quality services and supporting informed consumer choice.
Merrill-Parman has served at the helm of Envision for 23 years and continues to serve as a tireless advocate for needed individualized vision rehabilitation services for individuals who are blind or low vision.
"In her service as a member of the Board of Directors, Linda Merrill-Parman's knowledge and experience in the field is a tremendous assest for ACVREP,” said Garett Holm, President ACVREP. “By understanding the issues and challenges facing the field, she has demonstrated the ability to seize opportunities that greatly benefit vision rehabilitation and education service professionals and those they serve time and time again. It is this ability that has made her a recognized leader in the field."
