TARGET AUDIENCE: Behavioral Health Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Vision Rehabilitation Professionals
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will highlight learning surrounding an understanding and readiness to integrate behavioral health with low vision rehabilitation. Attention will be paid to the structure and function of multi-disciplinary low vision rehabilitation intervention along with the patient populations served and their specific needs. Of primary focus will be signs and symptoms of depression and behavioral health needs in low vision patients, referral process, and support groups and resources available to those in need. In conjunction with these primary elements, participants will be introduced to pertinent case studies and a panel question and answer session.

Understand how the collaboration of low vision rehabilitation and behavioral health cultivate successful outcomes for low vision patients.
Be able to identify signs and symptoms of depression and other behavioral health needs in low vision patients.
Demonstrate understanding of the referral process and the opportunities for community resources.
