The Envision Assistive Technology Camp is a week-long, residential educational experience for students from all across Kansas nominated for participation by Kansas Teachers of the Visually Impaired. The camp allows students to spend an entire week with other visually impaired teens as they participate in computer training, resume building, and career-building activities with mentors who use assistive technology in their respective fields.
Throughout the week, students receive inspiration from prominent business professionals and community leaders and learn more about interacting in social settings, and hone business etiquette and study skills while building a solid foundation for success. It is a wonderful opportunity for the students to experience—many for the first time—the independence of being away from home.
